ArtfullyAutistic.com was launched on October 6th, 2019 and is a platform for the Artfully Autistic and others to publish writing, essays, artcles, poetry, art and music, postic essays, and any thoughts and ideas you may want to share about Autism and other topics.

Those with Autism, the friends and families of those with Autism, Medical and Mental Health professionals who support those with Autism, those who advocate Autism, those who support the awareness of the creative abilities of those with Autism, or simply those are interested in the subject, experiences, and lives of those with Autism are encouraged to post here as well.


But, to be clear:

You do not have to be Autistic to post here!

As well, This also means that you do not have to be formally diagnosed with Autism either, as for many reasons many have not been diagnosed, or simply choose not to be formally tested, but identify as Autistic.

Editorial Guidelines and Monitoring

  •   ArtfullyAutistic.com does not offer compensation for submissions


  •   ArtfullyAutistic.com monitors posts according to the Editorial Guidelines of ArtfullyAutistic.com and only accepts submisssions that are your own original work, but you may include properly cited publication excerpts from other publications (See: Citation Guidelines)


  •   ArtfullyAutistic reserves the right to temporarily suspend, delete, or change a users role and permissions at our discretion
ArtfullyAutistic is a WordPress Site
ArtfullyAutistic is built using the wordpress.org website builder engine, and as such follows the built-in roles and permissions for users. The next section describes those roles and permissions.

WordPress Roles
WordPress supports the following user roles:
Role Name Role Description
Editor An editor can view, edit, publish, and delete any posts/pages, moderate comments, manage categories, manage tags, manage links and upload files/images.
Author An author can edit, publish and delete their posts, as well as upload files/images.
Contributor A contributor can edit their posts but cannot publish them. When a contributor creates a post, it will need to be submitted to an administrator for review. Once a contributor’s post is approved by an administrator and published, however, it may no longer be edited by the contributor.
Subscriber Subscribers only have the ability to leave comments.

Default WordPress Role When You Resigter
When you register with ArtfullyAutistic.com, you be assigned an Author Role, which you give’s you the permissions to edit, publish and delete your posts, as well as upload files/images.

Why WordPress?
Most importantly, WordPress supplies you with a robust, easy to use user dasheboard and visual editor rich with features that allow you to create your post just the way you want it to look.

For the more advanced user, WordPress allows direct HTML editing, access to modification of the <head> code, usage of your own custom CSS style sheets, and much more content customization than other sites.

You will have more control over formatting your content than you will find on other sites such as Medium.com, but also includes features such as clapping and passage highlighting that you will find on Medium.


Citation Guidelines
The following is a citation from Wikipedia’s example.com webpage you can refer to as a refererence for your own citations:
